1)He means that you can remember somthing as if you actully saw it or heard it. Or what he means by an invention of the mind if you have heard somthing so many times that you believe that you saw it or heard it before. His imagination is so important to him becasue it keeps his mind off of the real problems in life like his health.
2)Max reacted as if any one had lost a true friend or family member, with great sorrow and regret and most inportantly wishing they had spent more time with them. He acts like the kicker again because he is very upset and lonly. Writing down all the adventures that Max and Kevin had together reminds Max that even though he felt he did not spend as much time as he could with Kevin he still spent alot of time with him.
Kevin means that anyone can remember anything, whether it happened or not. I think that Freak’s imagination is very important to him because it helps him get over the fact that he might die soon..

1. What he means by that is remembering, is just something that we created. We can remember anything, we just have to create it in our heads. Like the Ice Age, we just have to invent a memory of what it was like, kind of like “I remember it was cold, and the clan was on the brink of dying out. It was tough times. Then we joined with a new clan, and we were strong, combining forces. “ It was important to Max because it was the only way he can relive his good times, through his memory, which was explained to him by Kevin. It is like a part of him.
2. Max is like “kicker” again because he is running around, and anybody who tries to touch him, likehe was a little child again, he would kick and hurt them. His is terribaly upset at the loss of his best friend. It crushes him and stays indoors all the time. Writing about his feelings will make him feel better because it will bring back good memories.

You just imagine a memory. Imagining is important for Kevin because he needs something to hope for and dream for so he will not give up.
2. Max reaction is to act crazy and look for the bionic body that Kevin was talking about. He acts like kicker again because he still has some child in him and he could not stop it from coming out and he was mad. This was because everything that you really remember is just your mind knowing the story then seeing it in their head. 2. Max reacts to Freak passing away badly. He became very angry with the doctor because she lied to Freak about getting a mechanical body. Also Max thinks it is the doctor’s fault that Freak died because she did not save him. When he met Freak everything changed, he had a new friend and some happiness in his life so he wasn’t a bully any more.
