We have now finished reading the novel Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. Many of you have unanswered questions about the book. Please respond to 2 of the 3 questions below:
1. What questions do you have about the novel? If you were able to speak with Mr. Philbrick, what would you ask him about the book/ characters?
2.Some of you might have preferred a different ending. If you were to rewrite the ending to Freak the Mighty, what would happen in your version?
3.If you were to write a sequel to the book, what would happen next in Max’s life?

Questions Chapters 21-25 due by 12/1 8:00 a.m.
After you have read chapters 22 through 25 in Freak the Mighty, respond to both of the following discussion questions. Remember to write in complete sentences and proofread your writing before you submit your comments to the blog. Be sure to use your first name only.
1. On page 141, Kevin states, “Remembering is just an invention of the mind.” What does he mean by that? Why do you think Kevin’s imagination is so important to him?
2. Explain how Max reacts at the loss of Kevin. Why do you think he acts like “the Kicker” again? How will writing down all of their adventures help Max grieve for his friend?
